Sons of Allen
The Sons of Allen Ministry, "At the Master's Feet," Friday Night Men's Bible Study continues to grow both spiritually and numerically. Thanks to the teachings of Pastor Sterling, Bro. Bill Graves and others, our men are learning how to be godly men and how to live godly lives. From this ministry, St. Stephen now has a Men's Choir that sings every fourth Sunday.
After Church Eating Ministry (ACE)
Members of the church, along with friends, continue our fellowship after worship service! We express our love for one another by bringing in prepared dishes to be shared throughout the congregation! We believe God continues His outreach ministry through this fellowship. We may occasionally cater the food or dine in a restaurant. At one restaurant, a customer stopped by the waiting area to say that she could sense the anointing of God flowing from us!
Intercessors (Armor bearer)
Intercessors have been described as ‘eyes’ in the Body of Christ who are very sensitive to the spiritual move of God. They will see, sense, or hear and instantly begin to pray. They are also referred in the Word of God as ‘Watchmen.’
Scholarship and Award Program
The scholarship program has been established by Saint Stephen to provide scholarships annually to its members. The scholarship program is awarded based on applicant’s involvement in church, community service, school, leadership activities and academic achievement. The scholarship is a one-time award ranging from $50 to $300. The funds are payable to the applicant and are provided to assist students with tuition, required registration or other fees. Women’s Missionary Society
The WMS of St. Stephen AME Church, along with every other AME church in the world, was formed to meet the needs of God’s people through training, teaching and mission work. The vision of such a society was fashioned by Mrs. Sarah Allen, wife of Bishop Richard Allen, the founder of the AME Church. Her purpose was to offer service, first to God and then to His people everywhere. We are a byproduct of her vision. From our monthly meetings, a Women's Bible Study and Fellowship (WBS/F) emerged. The bible based teachings are designed to guide us into all truth with regards to our relationship with God, ourselves and with others. An open invitation is extended to all women, to join this spirit-filled ministry. You will be blessed! For more information email ststephen@bellsouth.net or call 205 833-6211.
